The Yoga- Family and Gatka Camp takes place in the historical and scenically beautiful area of southern Touraine, whose centre is Loches with its impressive Chateau. Every summer the historical citadel with its old town and the narrow medieval streets bustles with life and atmosphere, enjoyed by both locals and tourists.

There is a farmers’ market every Wednesday and Saturday, where food, everyday stuff and oddities from the surrounding area are sold. Shopping becomes an event here. Afterwards, have your café au lait with croissant in the café. And before going back you need to get your baguette from your favourite boulangerie!

Many children are already looking forward to horseback riding. Very near the castle there is a farm where we go riding at least once during the camp. The owners offer all kind of horses, from a small Shetland pony to a big steed. Skilled riders can go in the open country without being accompanied, smaller children are guided.

On a hot summer day there is nothing better for families than to go for a swim in the river. We know a quiet place near the camp where the whole family can splash around.

The south of the Touraine is also inviting for longer tours to the castles of the Loire or to Tours. Many people have been going to the camp for years and still discover something new.
